Manage a Toxic Employee? Better Yet – Cut the Ties
I’m a big advocate for building and sustaining solid, high functioning teams. Key words here – high functioning. Everything we read about surrounding the strength in teamwork rings true for a variety of reasons. In the real world though, sometimes we end up with an under performing team member for reasons that don’t necessarily tie back to our decision.
For instance, sometimes we inherit an under performer.
Bottom line is — teams are comprised of people and people come with a variety of behaviors, attitudes, and skill.
Dealing with low performers can be time consuming. It can be energy-wasting. Hanging onto low performers definitely impacts morale. If we don’t put a cap on it fast, it can impact productivity. …. Plus – ignoring it won’t go away.
So, how do you deal with it? Any advice for what to do with an under performing team member or employee? Click here to read more~
